Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a
Project Engineer
 at Division9

Key Responsibilities

Tendering

  • Review tender documents to ensure all necessary data for pricing is available.
  • Issue RFQs for suppliers and subcontractors, including evaluation, negotiation, and analysis.
  • Review and analyze vendor/supplier options for supply and pricing.
  • Negotiate optimal pricing and supply contracts.
  • Maintain and update a list of suppliers with qualifications, delivery times, and potential future developments.
  • Ensure timely completion of tasks, particularly in cases with strict deadlines (even beyond regular working hours).
  • Maintain organized records of tenders, quotations, contracts, purchase orders, and tender documents.

Procurement

  • Source, evaluate, and maintain an approved list of suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve best value.
  • Issue purchase orders and work orders in coordination with management approval.
  • Follow up on procurement status, delivery schedules, and supplier commitments.
  • Prepare comparative tables
  • Prepare QS
  • Prepare financial closure packages
  • Coordinate with site and project teams to ensure materials and services are delivered as per project timelines.
  • Monitor supplier performance, quality compliance, and delivery efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and internal procurement controls.
  • Prepare periodic reports on tender status, procurement progress, and cost tracking.

Technical Office

  • Review all architectural and design drawings submitted by consultants.
  • Maintain logs of pending issues and decisions taken on projects, following up with all related parties.
  • Issue architectural shop drawings to the site and gather feedback on drawing requirements.
  • Check drawings submitted by MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) teams to ensure coordination.
  • Coordinate detailed finish works between stakeholders.
  • Prepare all material submittals required for consultants.
  • Participate in project takeover upon completion.
  • Prepare technical closure package

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in tendering and procurement within fit-out or interior contracting companies.
  • Strong communication skills and follow-up abilities.
  • Organized with excellent follow-up skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills and technical support expertise.
  • Good team management abilities.
  • A solid database of suppliers and contractors.
  • Strong knowledge of fit-out materials, finishes, suppliers, and subcontractor trades.
  • High attention to detail and cost control.
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders and priorities under pressure.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), AutoCAD.
  • Good command of English

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in technical office operations, tendering and project coordination within the construction industry.
