Job Description

  • Lead the preparation and submission of competitive tenders and accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
  • Analyze project drawings, specifications, and related documents to determine project requirements and scope.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather essential data for cost estimation and tendering.
  • Develop and maintain a database of suppliers, subcontractors, and material costs to ensure up-to-date pricing.
  • Review and assess contract terms, risks, and opportunities associated with each tender.
  • Prepare detailed bills of quantities, cost breakdowns, and supporting documentation for tender submissions.
  • Monitor and track tender progress, ensuring timely submission and compliance with client requirements.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
  • Collaborate with project managers and finance teams to align estimates with project budgets and timelines.
  • Continuously improve estimation and tendering processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Job Requirements

    • 15 years of relevant experience in estimation and tendering within the construction industry.
  • Proven ability to analyze technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and cost factors.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in estimation and tendering software tools.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in cost calculations.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with contract terms and risk assessment.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all tendering activities.
