We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Technical/Specification Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry. This role is essential for ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of quality and comply with all relevant specifications and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and review technical specifications for construction projects to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to accurately interpret project scope and requirements.
  • Conduct thorough material and product evaluations to determine suitability for use in projects.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams on specification-related inquiries and challenges.
  • Review and assess new products and technologies in the construction field to enhance project performance and safety.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on material selections and specifications for stakeholders.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of junior engineers and construction staff regarding specification standards and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical specification development within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, construction materials, and industry regulations.
  • Proficient in technical writing and documentation, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate complex information clearly.
  • Familiarity with construction project management software and tools.
  • Professional certifications such as LEED or PMP are a plus.
