Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a senior PHP and Laravel backend developer, based in Qesm El Maadi. The developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend components of web applications using PHP and Laravel.

Day-to-day tasks include creating database schemas, integrating front-end elements developed by your team members, troubleshooting and debugging code, ensuring data security and privacy, and collaborating with front-end developers to align design and functionality. The role also involves implementing best practices for coding standards and optimizing backend processes for performance and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance backend systems using PHP and Laravel

Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services

Collaborate with frontend teams and other departments

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

Troubleshoot, test, and optimize applications

Participate in code reviews and development meetings

Lead backend development on projects

Mentor junior developers

Participate in system architecture and planning

Ensure code scalability, performance, and security

Assist in technical interviews as needed

Requirements

3+ years of experience in PHP/Laravel

Strong OOP, MVC, and architectural design skills

Experience building scalable systems and APIs

Proficient in MySQL optimization and Git workflows

Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and security best practices

Experience with Docker, Redis, or Queues

Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, DigitalOcean)

Basic frontend knowledge (HTML/CSS/JS)

Testing experience (e.g., PHPUnit)
