The Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE) is an intergovernmental organization with diplomatic status that aims to enable and increase the adoption of renewable energy and energy efficiency practices across Pan-Arab countries and is the official technical arm institution of both League of Arab State – Energy Department and Arab Ministerial Council for Electricity (AMCE).

RCREEE teams-up with governments, international organizations, IFIs and Private Sector via several forms of partnerships to initiate and lead clean energy policy dialogues, strategies, technologies, managing the facilitation of RE investment platforms and capacity development to increase Arab states' share of tomorrow's modern energy solutions.

1- Scope of work:

The Training Programs Specialist will assist the standardization and certification unit, especially PA-CEMP team, and other personal certification program's team in expanding the professional credentialing portfolio of the center. The duties and responsibilities will include:

§ Receive, check, and correspond to participants' applications and queries.

§ Manage all projects and training courses set-up and follow-up processes.

§ Book-keeping and achieving all related documents and materials.

§ Assist expanding the programs implementation approach and content.

§ Conduct training needs assessments and developing TNA appropriate surveys.

§ Assist the coordination with partner organizations, trainers, and consultants.

§ Coordinate the logistical arrangements with the trainer/trainees for each training course activity, including any travel/ transportation / printing matters.

§ Conduct inspections on the arrangements during each training day to ensure everything adheres to the agreed standards and training course agenda.

§ Monitor the work of the trainers in coordination with the program manager.

§ Assess the training courses overall success and prepare feedback findings.

§ Assure the smooth and effective execution of the training courses objectives.

§ Coordinate and monitor the examination procedure for each training course.

§ Supervise the attendance of the trainees, and the performance of the trainers.

§ Prepare general reports about each training activity to be circulated to the execution partners, when needed.

§ Assure the internal administrative liaison with the other departments involved.

§ Liaise with vendors, suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders during the activities implementation process to ensure everything is in order.

2- Job requirements:

2.1 Qualifications:

§  Fluency in Arabic and English (verbal and written, French will be of an added value).

§  Solid experience in capacity building and / or training coordination activities.

§  Ability to perform relevant business assignments including proposal writing.

§  Strong analytical skills, team building skills, and oral/written communication skills.

§  Clear and effective communication that builds relationships with clients and partners to expand such a business portfolio.

§  Very good level of IT systems and computer proficiency (Microsoft office 365).

§  Teamwork and internal cooperation orientation, in an effective and timely manner.

§  Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment.

§  Demonstrative experience in preparing well-structured technical/business reports, research papers, in addition to archiving and documentation skills.

§  Good interpersonal skills including coordination with partners and stakeholders.

2.2 Experience:

·      A bachelor's degree from a well-recognized university in business administration or a related field is preferred.

·      At least four (4) years progressively responsible professional work experience in training centers, capacity building projects or credentialing programs is required, combined with projects coordination and business administration.

·      Good knowledge of funding organizations and development agencies, and previous familiarity with their tendering, bidding, and project implementation procedures.

·      Previous experience in events organization will be an added value.

  1. General Terms and Conditions:

·      The position is open to candidates from RCREEE member states only, willing to join RCREEE as soon as possible.

·      The Candidate is required to work from RCREEE's headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.

2- Tenure of Appointment

·      The initial appointment will be for 12 months including a 3-month probation period.

·      The contract extension will be subject to performance, needs and availability of funds.
