Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Engineer with a strong background in wastewater treatment equipment selection and wastewater treatment plant design. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience and a proven track record in the design and selection of pumps, aerators, blowers, and lift stations. This role requires a keen understanding of engineering principles as they apply to wastewater systems and an ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Equipment Selection:

  2. Identify, evaluate, and recommend appropriate wastewater treatment equipment, including pumps, aerators, blowers, and other auxiliary systems.

  3. Conduct performance analysis and comparisons of various equipment options to ensure optimal design efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

  4. Wastewater Treatment Plant Design:

  5. Lead the design, planning, and execution of wastewater treatment plants, ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements and industry standards.

  6. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive design specifications and project scopes.

  7. Lift Station Design:

  8. Design and oversee the installation and operation of lift stations, ensuring efficient transport of wastewater through the treatment process.

  9. Evaluate lift station capacity and make recommendations for upgrades or modifications as necessary.

  10. Technical Support and Documentation:

  11. Prepare technical documentation, including design calculations, equipment selection reports, and project specifications.

  12. Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in wastewater treatment plant design and equipment selection.

  • Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, equipment specifications, and operational methodologies.

  • Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools for design and analysis (e.g., AutoCAD, HEC-RAS, etc.).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure while managing multiple projects.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
