Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Logistics and Purchasing Supervisor in the Supply Chain department at MAXAM located in New Cairo. The role involves overseeing and managing purchasing processes, purchase management, and purchase orders. The Logistics and Purchasing Supervisor will also be responsible for utilizing analytical skills to optimize procurement activities. This role requires working both in-office and remotely, allowing for flexibility in the work environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in purchasing processes, purchase management, and logistics
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications (Oracle user)
  • Experience in the logistics and supply chain industry is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5 years' experience or more
  • Very Good command of the English language
  • Experience in the manufacturing or mining industry is a plus preferred.
  • Only Cairo residents.

job description

  • Collecting/recording/tracking purchase requisitions from all company departments
  • Purchase requisition verification and identification of specs
  • Market research for the required products and services and developing new suppliers when required
  • Liaising with local and foreign suppliers and company introduction in the market
  • Issuing RFQs to local and foreign suppliers
  • Collecting technical and commercial quotations
  • Preparing offers comparison on basis of (price - payment term - incoterm - quality - lead time)
  • Participate in the offer selection process
  • Create purchase orders on Oracle and release to suppliers
  • Follow up on purchase order execution and delivery
  • Contact the freight company and align on the delivery process for local and imported supplies
  • Follow up on items receipt
  • Collecting invoices from local suppliers and submit to finance team to process
  • Collecting Shipping documents from foreign suppliers and submit to finance team
  • Follow up on payment release to suppliers and resolve any delay issues
  • Manage inbound logistics of imported spare parts and raw materials
  • Manage communication with clearance company and provide all necessary information
  • Issue invoices related to the free zone process
  • Manage purchases from sister company (MAXAMCORP), review shipping documents and confirm dispatch
  • Request item creation and activation on system for new spare parts
  • Ensure inventory accuracy (physical vs system)
  • Align all communications between suppliers and internal departments
  • Ensure ERP system cleanliness related to open purchase orders and pending receipts
  • Interact with our client for EMRA process
