Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Medical Billing Specialist. The Medical Billing Specialist will be responsible for managing billing processes, processing claims, handling insurance coordination, and resolving denials. The role also involves accurately applying medical coding standards and ensuring compliance with Medicare and other insurance guidelines.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Medical Terminology and understanding of ICD-10 coding standards.
- Experience in handling insurance claims and working with Medicare processes.
- Capability to analyze and resolve denials efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining billing and coding records.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines consistently.
- Previous experience in medical billing or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with healthcare billing software and tools is a plus.
