Inventory Planning Manager

JOB PURPOSE:

• The Job Holder is Responsible to ensure optimal stock availability, efficient inventory allocation, and seamless fulfillment operations across all sales channels. Also responsible to ensure balancing inventory between warehouses, retail stores, e-commerce and collect-in-store locations, while providing data-driven insights to enhance stock efficiency and fulfillment performance.

Demand Planning:

• Analyze historical sales trends, market data, and seasonality to forecast demand across multiple product categories (e.g., TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, etc.).
• Develop accurate short-, mid-, and long-term demand plans by coordinating with sales, marketing, and suppliers.
• Monitor and adjust forecasts weekly or monthly based on sell-through performance and promotional impact.
• Work closely with purchasing and supply chain teams to determine optimal order quantities and timing
• Evaluate vendor lead times, shipping schedules, and inventory holding costs to optimize replenishment plans.
• Track product lifecycle and manage new product introductions and end-of-life transitions.
• Support Sales & Operations meetings with actionable insights on demand vs. supply gaps and mitigation plans.
• Monitor PSI (Purchase, Sales, Inventory) reports and take proactive actions to maintain healthy inventory levels.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to align demand plans with upcoming promotions, price changes, and market trends.

Inventory Planning & Stock Allocation:

• Develop and maintain inventory planning strategies to ensure stock availability across all fulfillment centers.
• Monitor stock allocation between warehouses, retail stores, e-commerce and collect-in-store locations, ensuring proper distribution based on demand.
• Define and track stock thresholds for different fulfillment centers to prevent over- or under-stocking.
• Collaborate with demand planners and replenishment teams to align stock levels with sales trends and customer demand.

Fulfillment & Stock Order Flow:

• Oversee stock movement and replenishment to all warehouses, ensuring timely fulfillment of stock levels.
• ­Monitor order fulfillment rates, identifying delays or inefficiencies and working with operations teams to resolve them.
• Ensure inventory allocation aligns with order patterns, promotional demand, and category priorities.

Inventory Performance Analysis & Reporting:

• Develop dashboards and reports to track inventory health, fulfillment rates, and sell-through performance.
• ­Provide insights on fast-moving SKUs, slow-moving stock, and replenishment needs to optimize stock levels.
• Regularly update leadership on stock availability, fulfillment performance, and potential risks impacting sales operations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Act as the sales lead for inventory planning, ensuring alignment with supply chain, demand planning, and fulfillment teams.
• Partner with category managers to forecast demand, ensuring stock availability for high-demand products and promotions.

Risk Mitigation & Process Optimization:

• Identify and address risks related to stockouts, overstocking, and fulfillment inefficiencies.
• Optimize inventory allocation strategies to support seasonal peaks, promotional surges, and high-demand products.
• Support automation initiatives for real-time inventory tracking and reporting, reducing manual inefficiencies.

Requirements

Minimum Qualification

• University Graduate in Supply Chain Management, Warehouses Management.

Minimum Experience

• ­Minimum Experience of 5 years in inventory management or similar role
• Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) is a plus
