Backend Developer (Laravel) – LMS Specialist
About the Role

We are seeking a skilled
Backend Developer (Laravel Developer)
with strong experience in
Learning Management Systems (LMS)
to join our dynamic development team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend infrastructure of our LMS platforms — ensuring
high performance, security, and scalability
.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize LMS-based applications using
    Laravel
    .
  • Design and implement
    RESTful APIs
    and integrate third-party services.
  • Manage and optimize databases (
    MySQL, PostgreSQL
    ) for course content, user progress, and analytics.
  • Implement
    authentication, authorization
    , and
    role-based access control (RBAC)
    .
  • Ensure data security and apply best practices to protect user information and course materials.
  • Collaborate closely with frontend developers to integrate UI components with backend functionalities.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues to enhance system reliability.
  • Implement and integrate
    e-learning standards
    such as
    SCORM
    ,
    xAPI
    , and
    LTI
    when required.
  • Deploy and scale applications using cloud services (
    AWS, DigitalOcean
    , etc.).
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following
    Laravel best practices
    .

Requirements

  • 3+ years of proven experience as a
    Laravel Developer
    .
  • Strong expertise in
    PHP, Laravel, MySQL
    , and
    API development
    .
  • Hands-on experience with
    LMS platforms
    (e.g., Moodle, LearnDash, TalentLMS, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of
    e-learning standards
    (SCORM, xAPI, LTI).
  • Experience with
    queues, caching (Redis)
    , and background jobs in Laravel.
  • Familiarity with
    Git
    ,
    CI/CD pipelines
    , and
    Docker
    (preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of frontend frameworks (
    , React, Angular
    ) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in
    custom LMS development
    or
    integration with third-party LMS solutions
    .
  • Knowledge of
    microservices architecture
    and
    scalable backend systems
    .
  • Hands-on experience with
    cloud computing platforms
    (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.).
