Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Application Support Specialist, located in Smart Village. The Application Support Specialist will handle day-to-day tasks such as providing technical support, resolving application issues, and performing troubleshooting. The specialist will also be responsible for collaborating with various teams to ensure the smooth operation of applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first and second-level support for business applications.
  • Diagnose and resolve software application issues raised by end-users.
  • Monitor application performance and ensure system availability.
  • Document support activities, issue resolutions, and user guides.
  • Collaborate with developers and vendors for issue escalation and resolution.
  • Conduct system testing and support software deployment activities.
  • Manage user access, permissions, and configurations for applications.
  • Train users on application functionalities and updates.
  • Ensure data integrity and security within supported applications.
  • Participate in system upgrades, patches, and maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in application support or a similar IT support role.
  • Familiarity with SQL, databases, and scripting languages is a plus.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and ITIL practices.
  • Familiarity with electronic payment systems is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple support tickets.
  • Experience with specific applications relevant to the business (e.g., ERP, CRM, banking software).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, APIs, and system integrations.
  • Basic understanding of networking and operating systems.
