Overview Of The Role

The
Manager – Treasury Operations
plays a key role within the Finance Shared Services Centre, supporting the Al-Futtaim Global Treasury Centre (GTC) and business units across Egypt. The role is responsible for ensuring effective liquidity management, loan operations, foreign exchange settlements, and accurate accounting of treasury transactions through SAP TRM/ERP. The position also supports month-end closing, audits, and treasury-related projects, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and operational excellence in all back-office treasury functions.

What You Will Do

Liquidity Management

  • Prepare daily liquidity reports for all group bank accounts and treasury exposures.
  • Review and verify fund transfers (manual and online) to ensure optimal cash positioning.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all treasury exposures and smooth execution of payments.

Loan & Deposit Operations

  • Support GTC in managing the group's loan portfolio, including drawdowns, rollovers, settlements, and repayments.
  • Prepare and submit loan and deposit requests to banks, ensuring confirmations and records are maintained.
  • Update loan schedules regularly and ensure all related documentation is accurate and complete.

Intercompany Loans

  • Maintain full control and reconciliation of intercompany loans within the group.
  • Manage interest calculations, loan revaluations, and audit submissions.
  • Handle all accounting issues, write-offs, and audit requests related to intercompany loans.

Forex & Derivative Operations

  • Oversee confirmation, matching, and settlement of all foreign exchange and derivative transactions.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all forex operations and related documentation.

Accounting & Audit

  • Post and reconcile all treasury-related transactions (liquidity, loans, forex, trade finance, charges, interest) through SAP TRM/ERP.
  • Ensure timely completion of month-end close activities, reconciliations, and audit schedules.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance across all treasury accounting processes.

Treasury Projects

  • Support the Senior Manager – Treasury Operations in implementing initiatives that enhance productivity and risk management.
  • Contribute to key projects such as in-house banking, cash pooling, SAP TRM rollouts, and online banking upgrades.
  • Participate in solution design, testing, documentation, and training as part of project execution.

  • Hands-on experience with SAP TRM or ERP systems.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What Qualifies You For The Role

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in treasury operations within a medium to large organization or bank.
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in liquidity management, loan processing, and forex operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to treasury projects and process improvements.
