Job Purpose

Oversee and Lead Maintenance engineering activities in the Farm which include preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance strategies that align with overall production goals, to minimize downtimes and maximize machines efficiency and productivity to achieve company goals and objectives.

What you will do in your role

  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance of all equipment and machinery.
  • Supervise the implementation of Maintenance strategies, processes, and procedures to ensure availability of machines and maximum performance also analyze data and initiatives recommended for improving equipment efficiency.
  • Manage daily meetings with documentation and appropriate reporting on equipment status and maintenance performance.
  • Participate in new business initiatives, projects, review and communicate the impact on Maintenance activities. Evaluate the feasibility and viability of each project, considering financial, logistical, strategic, and regulatory compliance aspects.
  • Develop and manage the annual maintenance budget (Opex) and forecast capital expenditure and ensuring alignment with overall farm financial goals.

  • Oversee the MRO budget to ensure cost-effective procurement of materials, tools, and services. This involves balancing quality with cost-efficiency while maintaining an adequate inventory level to prevent production interruptions.

  • Validate cost saving productivity programs thought optimizing OEE's waste and energy management.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse Maintenance team by providing training opportunities, performance feedback, and career development plans and foster an environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and accountability among team.
  • Provide regular reports to upper management regarding maintenance performance and issues.
  • Collaborate with all related departments to ensure seamless operations across the farm and participate in cross-functional meetings to align maintenance activities

What you will bring to the role

  • From 10 to 12 solid experience in Maintenance Engineering.
  • At least 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Strong project management capabilities, ability to plan, execute, and oversee maintenance projects effectively within a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent leadership abilities, with a focus on developing and managing high-performing maintenance teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions
