Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Maintenance Manager to oversee all aspects of maintenance and reliability for our production plant. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of all machinery, equipment, and facilities. Your primary goal will be to maximize equipment uptime, ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality, and lead a team of technicians in a fast-paced, hygienic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance Strategy & Planning:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance program to minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Manage the maintenance budget, control costs, and ensure efficient use of resources and spare parts inventory.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Team Leadership & Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing maintenance team, including technicians and supervisors.
  • Schedule and assign work orders, ensuring timely and effective completion of all maintenance activities.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Operational Excellence:
  • Ensure all production equipment (ovens, mixers, packaging lines, etc.) operates at peak efficiency.
  • Oversee the maintenance of all facility utilities, including electrical systems, refrigeration, compressed air, and water systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Compliance & Safety:
  • Guarantee strict adherence to all company safety policies, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and HACCP standards.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with local regulatory and food safety requirements (e.g., ISO
  • Maintain accurate documentation for all maintenance work, safety inspections, and compliance audits.
  • Project Management & Technical Support:
  • Manage and execute engineering projects, including new equipment installation, upgrades, and modifications.
  • Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and planning departments to coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of maintenance experience in an FMCG, Food & Beverage, or Bakery manufacturing environment.
  • At least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role, leading a technical team.
  • Proven experience with preventive/predictive maintenance systems, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), and reliability-centered maintenance.

Technical Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical knowledge
     of bakery/pastry production machinery, packaging equipment, PLCs, and industrial utilities.
  • Food Safety Focus:
     In-depth understanding of food-grade maintenance requirements and hygienic design principles.
  • Leadership:
     Excellent people management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer Literacy:
     Proficiency MS Office.
