Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

YOUR OPPORTUNITYServing as a core member of the MEP Technical Office, ensuring and enforcing PARAGON's vision and strategic plan across current and future projects from initiation and concept design through construction, commissioning, and handover to operation. The role encompasses integrating LEED and sustainability objectives within all project phases to ensure compliance with international green building standards and to support the company's commitment to environmental performance, energy efficiency, and sustainable development. Responsibilities include technical coordination with architectural, structural, and landscape disciplines, leading MEP design reviews to align with operational efficiency and long-term asset performance goals, supporting LEED certification documentation and credit tracking in coordination with sustainability consultants, contributing to the development of company MEP standards, digital designtemplates, and BIM coordination workflows, as well as driving value engineering and continuous process improvement to deliver high-quality, cost-efficient, and sustainable design solutions.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIESReviewing the design and calculations of HVAC, firefighting, smoke management, and plumbing systems from concept design through to the final IFC stage.Managing the design consultants' adherence to applicable codes, local authority regulations, and PARAGON's design philosophy and guidelines.Performing value engineering studies and assessing their cost and time impacts on the project.Arranging and attending technical meetings with consultants, suppliers, and contractors to establish project guidelines and resolve technical issues.Coordinating with other disciplines to ensure that all mechanical requirements are fully met and properly integrated with other systems.Conducting procurement communications and negotiations for directly purchased systems and equipment.Providing technical support to the site management team and performing periodic site visits to monitor construction progress and resolve critical site issues as needed.Conducting technical and commercial reviews and approvals of project variation orders (VOs).

YOUR QUALIFICATIONSYou...Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University.5–10 years of solid experience in MEP design review, technical coordination, and project management within top-tier engineering consultancy environments, ensuring compliance with design intent, client requirements, and industry best practices.Full awareness of Mechanical standards i.e. ASHREA, NFPA , ASME, ANSI, SMACNA, Egyptian Codes,..etc.Working experience with all mechanical softwares i.e. HAP, ELITE, CFD Analysis,…etcFamiliarity with 2D or 3D engineering design and editing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit and Naviswork)LEED or PMP‐ Certification (is an advantage).
