Medical Manager| Oncology {Egypt, LEVANT, Iran & South Africa}

Responsibilities:

  • Leading and developing the Local Medical strategy and Medical activities for Amgen products in accordance to internal and external regulations.
  • Act as an advisor and give guidance on the development and execution of Medical strategy and Medical activities for distributors in Levant, Iran and South Africa.
  • Therapy area and/or product specific Medical training
  • Ensuring consistency of Medical content and scientific messages across various tools and materials
  • Visits selected KOL's and study groups for strategic discussions and protocol development
  • Partners with the BU Manager in the development and execution of the Local product(s) lifecycle management plan
  • Oversees in-sourced/outsourced Medical programs and logistics
  • Supports Local regulatory and ethics approvals for development protocols
  • Provides Medical expertise for pipeline products
  • Provides Medical expertise for Health Economy and reimbursement requests
  • Liaise with potential investigators in non-sponsored clinical research
  • Advance MSL value proposition, identify gaps, achieve results, and set an example for others to follow by consistently demonstrating Amgen values and leadership attributes.
  • Lead and support congress activities as aligned with strategy
  • Compliantly collaborate with cross-functional colleagues.
  • Provide Medical support "Medical trainings, guidelines and product scientific data " for distributors in Levant, Iran and South Africa.
  • Approve of promotional and Non-Promotional Material.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medicine, Pharmacy or any other relevant field.
  • 6 to 8 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in one of the MNCs.
  • Knowledge of commercialization and business practices
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical product development, product lifecycle and commercialization process with advanced understanding of other functions; including, but not limited to, Clinical Operations, Commercial, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs
  • Oncology Therapeutic area knowledge
  • Finance and budgeting acumen
  • Strong communication skills & customer orientation
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team
