Senior Medical Advisor Medical Specialist

Medical Services Division:
Multinational corporations with employees working in remote environments, for example within the mining, construction or oil and gas or for IGO`s who often face challenging conditions when medical assistance is needed. At Allianz Care, we provide medical assistance globally and have growing needs due to recent client wins.

What you do

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

•    Solely responsible for handling client escalations in a timely manner.

•    Proactive approach towards escalation resolutions

•    Act as point of contact to different stakeholders 

•    Attend regular calls with clients and receive calls if needed

•    Make outbound reaches to both clients and Provider/TPA/Physicians 

•    Provider after hours support with internal team and clients

•    Assist in setting up and updating best practice guidelines.

•    Report escalations and identify trends to achieve best results.

•    Work closely with MPM, Service delivery, and Claims teams

•    Identify process gaps and work closely with relevant team to address them 

•    Identify cost containment opportunities and coach others to do the same.

•    Become an expert/go to person 

•    Carry out audits on a monthly basis as required

•    Maintain relationships with brokers/clients/providers.

•    Deputize TL when required specially during shifts.

 What you bring

•    At least 2 years of experience in Medical Insurance field

•    Medical background is a must Preferably clinical pharmacist.

•    Experience in international health insurance is a plus

•    Experience in escalations and complaints is a plus

•    Flexible with rotational shifts, working hours & work from office.

•    Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
