Collections Specialist
to join our team and help ensure timely payments and positive customer interactions.

Position Summary:

The Collections Specialist is responsible for managing the collection of outstanding accounts receivable from clients and customers. This role requires strong communication skills, persistence, and a customer service mindset to maintain positive client relationships while ensuring prompt payment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts and overdue balances
  • Contact clients via phone, email, and mail to initiate payment and follow up as needed
  • Negotiate payment plans and terms when necessary
  • Maintain accurate records of collection activities and communications in the system
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Customer Support, Billing) to resolve disputes
  • Recommend accounts for escalation, legal action, or write-off when applicable
  • Generate and analyze aging reports and other relevant financial data
  • Adhere to company policies and applicable debt collection regulations

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Collections Specialist, Accounts Receivable Clerk, or similar role
  • Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and MS Office
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts
  • High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
