Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on
Data Technical Lead
to architect, build, and optimize our data infrastructure. Reporting directly to the Head of Analytics, you will lead technical decision-making, mentor junior engineers, and manage complex data workflows and build Analytics and reports. Experience dealing with the nuances of
healthcare or insurance data
is a significant advantage for this position.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Architecture & Engineering

●     Lead the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines using
Python
and
Shell Scripting
.

●     Manage and optimize the Enterprise Data Warehouse on
Google BigQuery
, ensuring high performance, cost-efficiency, and data integrity.

●     Orchestrate automated cloud jobs and ETL/ELT processes to ensure timely data delivery.

●     Implement best practices for data modeling, partitioning, and clustering in BigQuery.

2. BI & Visualization Management

●     Administer and maintain BI platforms, specifically
Amazon QuickSight
and
Apache Superset
.

●     Collaborate with data analysts to ensure semantic layers and datasets are optimized for visualization.

●     Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks in dashboards and reporting queries.

3. Team Leadership & Strategy

●     Act as the technical authority within the Analytics team, conducting code reviews and establishing coding standards.

●     Translate business requirements from the Head of Analytics into technical specifications and roadmaps.

●     Mentor team members on SQL optimization, Python scripting, and cloud best practices.

4. Data Governance & Security

●     Ensure strict adherence to data privacy regulations

●     Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and row-level security across BigQuery and BI tools.

Required Qualifications

●     
Education:
B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.

●     
Experience:

○ years of experience in Data Engineering or BI Architecture.

○     At least 2 years in a Technical Lead or Senior role.

●     
Technical Stack (Must-Haves):

○     
Data Warehousing:
Expert-level knowledge of
Google BigQuery
(architecture, slot management, optimization).

○     
Programming:
Advanced proficiency in
Python
(Pandas, API integration) and
Shell Scripting
(Bash/automation).

○     
Database:
Expert-level
SQL
skills (complex joins, window functions, stored procedures).

○     
BI Tools:
Hands-on experience configuring and managing
Apache Superset
and
Amazon QuickSight
.

Solid understanding of cloud computing environments (GCP and AWS).
