Quality Control Activities

  • Inspect piping works during installation to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
  • Monitor fit-up and welding activities and prepare related QC inspection reports.
  • Verify incoming materials and ensure they match the approved Material Test Certificates (MTC).
  • Review and validate welding procedures (WPS / PQR / Welder Qualification).
  • Coordinate and follow up on NDT activities (UT, RT, PT, MT) and document acceptance or rejection.
  • Participate in preparing and updating the Inspection & Test Plan (ITP).
  • Prepare daily quality inspection reports.
  • Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
  • Document hydrostatic and pneumatic testing activities.
  • Prepare and compile final QA/QC handover dossiers for the consultant or client.
  • Coordinate with site teams, engineering, welding, and NDT departments.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes such as ASME B31.3 / B31.1 / API.
  • Ensure safety measures are followed during welding, fabrication, and testing activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience in piping or mechanical construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of ASME and API codes and quality standards.
  • Experience with welding processes and NDT activities.
  • Excellent ability to read and interpret drawings (Isometrics, P&ID, GA).
  • Strong reporting and communication skills.
  • Good understanding of fabrication and installation procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure in site environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD knowledge is a plus.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong commitment to quality standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Professional attitude when dealing with clients and consultants.
