The Data Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the organization's data is accurate, complete, and consistent across all systems. The role involves creating rules for data management, using tools to check the quality of data, and working with different teams to improve how data is used in the business. This helps the company make better decisions using reliable data.

  • Develop a clear plan to improve the quality of data across the organization.
  • Set up processes to regularly check the quality of data and fix any issues.
  • Stay updated with new tools and methods to keep improving data quality.
  • Set up ways to measure data quality using key indicators.
  • Create reports and dashboards to show how well data is managed.
  • Find the root causes of any data problems and fix them quickly.
  • Work with the Data Governance team to ensure all data rules are followed.
  • Ensure that the company's data processes comply with global regulations like GDPR.
  • Help create and maintain policies for managing, storing, and protecting data.
  • Work with different departments to improve data quality and solve data issues.
  • Act as the link between technical teams and business users to make sure everyone understands data quality goals.
  • Lead projects that make data entry and processing more accurate and reliable.
  • Lead the setup and use of data quality tools like Talend or Informatica.
  • Make sure data is regularly cleaned, checked, and enriched.
  • Recommend new tools and technologies that can help improve data quality.

Educational Requirements: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

Special Certification or Training Required:

  • Special Certification or Training: Preferred to be certified in Data Governance (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional – CDMP, Certified Data Management Professional – CDMP)

Required Industry Experience:

  • 2+ year of experience in Data Quality Engineering or a similar role.
  • Expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing data quality frameworks, monitoring systems, and validation rules to ensure data integrity and reliability across the data ecosystem.
  • Hands-on experience in profiling, cleansing, and validating data within integration, migration, and transformation projects to proactively identify and resolve data discrepancies.

Technological Requirements:

  • Experience in establishing and implementing data quality frameworks, including defining rules, metrics, and standards for data integrity and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in data validation and cleansing techniques for various data sources, including streaming data platforms and event-driven architectures.
  • Practical experience with metadata management, data catalogs, and data quality frameworks, ensuring the lineage, reliability, and discoverability of data assets.
  • Expertise in profiling, auditing, and monitoring data in both relational (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) databases to identify and resolve quality issues.

Language Requirements: Fluent in English.
