Sr. Electrical BIM Engineer

Job Purpose :

  • Oversee the preparation, review, and coordination of electrical shop drawings and technical submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues and ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
  • Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and prepare accurate bills of quantities for electrical works.
  • Review and evaluate electrical material submittals, ensuring adherence to project requirements and industry standards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to site teams during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of electrical materials and equipment.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and propose effective solutions to maintain project timelines.
  • Participate in value engineering exercises to optimize electrical system designs and reduce costs without compromising quality.
  • Ensure all electrical works comply with safety regulations, quality standards, and client requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, reports, and records for all electrical engineering activities.

Job Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5 to 8 years of proven experience in a technical office role within the construction or engineering industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards applicable to large-scale projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design and drafting software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing shop drawings, technical submittals, and material approvals.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and documentation.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all project deliverables
