The Role: Quality Control Engineer

We are seeking a proactive
Quality Control Engineer
to manage and execute all quality assurance and control activities across the production lifecycle. This role is crucial for maintaining compliance and product integrity.

Grade Level:
G5 - G7 (Based on experience, according to Mima Foods Salary Structure)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Raw Material Inspection:
    Oversee the inspection and analysis of incoming raw materials (vegetables, packaging, and inputs), ensuring strict adherence to specifications and quality standards.
  • In-Process Control:
    Conduct regular physical, sensory, and chemical analyses on mid-process samples (Mid-Process) and finished products.
  • CCP & Compliance Monitoring:
    Monitor and verify Critical Control Points (CCPs) within the production line to ensure food safety.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    Prepare and maintain daily quality reports, documentation, and records of all tests and analyses performed.
  • Calibration:
    Ensure the periodic safety and calibration of all laboratory and QC testing equipment.
  • Pre-Shipment Checks:
    Execute final quality and chemical analyses on finished products before shipment.
  • Training and Audits:
    Participate in internal quality inspections and support quality-related training for operational staff.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Food Technology, Applied Sciences (Chemistry or Microbiology), or a related technical field.
  • Minimum
    2-4 years
    of proven experience in Quality Control, preferably within the food industry (IQF or regulated food manufacturing).
  • Solid practical knowledge of chemical and physical analysis procedures.
  • Familiarity with analytical devices and laboratory practices (e.g., analytical balances).
  • Strong command of English (B2 level preferred) and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel).
  • Core Competencies:
    Customer Focus, Teamwork, Adaptability, and Strong Ethics.
