Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze software requirements, specifications, and user stories to identify precise testing scenarios.
  • Create, design, and execute both manual and automated test cases across functional, exploratory, regression, and usability domains.
  • Log, track, and validate defects through comprehensive documentation, retesting, and ensuring resolution.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, frameworks (such as Selenium, API tools), and test scripts using appropriate tools
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to drive test strategy alignment and deliver quality outcomes.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies—such as sprint planning and retrospectives—to integrate QA throughout the SDLC.
  • Mentor junior testers, take part in design or peer reviews, and contribute to improving QA processes and methodologies.
  • Perform database validation and backend testing using SQL or database tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on QA/testing experience, including familiarity with both manual and automation approaches
  • Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, etc.
  • Solid experience with automation tools and frameworks: e.g., Selenium, Rest Assured, Postman; scripting in Java, Python, C#, or similar.
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience in validating backend systems..
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, SDLC, and QA best practices
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
  • (Optional) Certifications like ISTQB, or experience in CI/CD integration (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) are a plus.
