Role Description

The Procurement Specialist – Materials is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and supplies required for company operations or projects. This role ensures that all materials are obtained at the best possible price, quality, and delivery terms while maintaining compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for raw materials, consumables, and equipment based on quality, cost, and reliability.

  • Issue and manage Requests for Quotation (RFQs), purchase orders, and contracts in accordance with company policies.

  • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms to achieve cost savings and optimal value.

  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery of materials.

  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to forecast material requirements.

  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier data, and inventory levels.

  • Analyze market trends and material cost fluctuations to support strategic sourcing decisions.

  • Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure smooth material flow and on-time delivery.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, safety, and ethical procurement practices.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in the procurement and supply chain process.

Qulifications
:

  • 2– 4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management .
  • Experience in vendor management, negotiation, and material planning is usually required.
  • Skills in Supplier Evaluation and Contract Negotiation
  • Strong Analytical Skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in an on-site team environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred
