For our office in EGYPT, we are looking for

Contract Engineer - 100% (m/f)

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in preparing, reviewing, and negotiating contracts; managing the full contract lifecycle; coordinating with technical, procurement, legal, and project teams; and ensuring compliance with project and commercial requirements. The candidate should be skilled in monitoring subcontractor performance, identifying contractual risks, handling claims and variations, maintaining organized documentation, supporting cost and budgeting activities, and drafting formal contractual correspondence.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
• Ensure all contract terms align with technical, commercial, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, legal, and project management teams to support contract development.
• Manage the full contract lifecycle, including issuance, amendments, variations, and closeout.
• Monitor the performance, deliverables, timelines, and compliance of sub-consultants and project partners to ensure all work aligns with contractual obligations and project requirements
• Identify contractual risks and support development of mitigation strategies.
• Handle claims, disputes, and change orders in collaboration with relevant departments.
• Maintain organized contract documentation and ensure adherence to company policies and industry regulations.
• Support cost estimation, budgeting, and financial tracking related to contracts.
• Correspondence management, drafting letters, notices and any formal letters within contractual timescales

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC or similar international contract standards.
• Proven experience in contract administration, claims, and variation management.
• Experience working on construction or infrastructure projects.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and technical writing skills.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English, with strong technical and contractual writing ability.
• Proficiency in MS Office and contract/project management tools.
