Responsibilities
:

Lead, manage, and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and designers, delegating tasks, monitoring project progress, and ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.

Review and approve all technical designs, drawings, and reports to ensure compliance with international and local engineering standards, codes, and safety regulations.

Oversee the design and development of mechanical systems for desalination plants, including RO systems, high-pressure pumps, ERDs, piping, valves, and pre/post-treatment units.

Develop innovative solutions to enhance plant efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and lower operational costs.

Prepare detailed technical specifications and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for mechanical equipment and systems.

Utilize engineering design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Plant 3D) to create accurate 3D models.

Conduct simulations and analyses (Stress Analysis, CFD) to validate design performance and system integrity.

Coordinate with Electrical, Civil, and Instrumentation & Control teams, as well as vendors and contractors, to ensure seamless multidisciplinary integration.

Provide technical support during installation and commissioning, resolving any design-related issues.

Maintain comprehensive documentation for all design phases, staying updated on the latest technologies and innovations in desalination and mechanical engineering.

Requirements:

Strong experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in desalination, water treatment, or industrial plant environments.

Proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Plant 3D) and simulation tools (CFD, Stress Analysis).

Solid knowledge of mechanical design standards and compliance codes.

Proven leadership and team management capabilities.

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
