Job Summary:

The Application Operations Analyst is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, monitoring, and support of business-critical applications. This role involves maintaining system performance, troubleshooting issues, coordinating with development and infrastructure teams, and ensuring high availability and reliability of applications in production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain the performance, stability, and availability of enterprise applications.
  • Perform daily operational checks and ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot application incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to deploy updates and releases.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including operational procedures and incident reports.
  • Support incident, problem, and change management processes according to ITIL standards.
  • Provide end-user support for application-related issues and coordinate with vendors when required.
  • Perform data validation, batch monitoring, and log analysis to ensure data integrity.
  • Participate in disaster recovery testing and contribute to system improvements and automation initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience in Application Support or Operations roles.
  • Strong knowledge of application monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, or equivalent).
  • Experience with SQL queries, scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash), and log analysis.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, and Change Management).
  • Basic understanding of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and support on-call rotation when needed.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Exposure to APIs, web services, and middleware technologies.
  • Knowledge of automation and monitoring frameworks.
