Job Purpose

The Senior Investment Associate is responsible for identifying, researching, and qualifying potential investment opportunities that align with the company's financial and strategic objectives through building and maintaining a solid pipeline of investment leads through research, networking, and market outreach. Additionally, the role contributes to preliminary investment analysis and financial assessments to support informed decision-making and future investment strategies.

Responsibilities

Prospect Identification and Research:

  • Conduct in-depth research to identify potential investment leads aligned with our investment thesis and target market.
  • Identify and source new investment leads aligned with the company's investment strategy and sector focus.
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive database of prospective investors, including contact information and investment preferences.
  • Analyze market trends and investor behavior to identify new opportunities.
  • Engage with accelerators, venture funds, consultants, and financial institutions to expand investment networks.

Market and Investment Analysis

·       Conduct preliminary analysis of potential investment opportunities, including revenue models, market size, and growth potential.

·       Gather and analyze data from financial statements, reports, and industry sources to support investment screening.

·       Assist in benchmarking investment targets against peers and comparable market deals.

·       Prepare executive briefs summarizing key findings and opportunity attractiveness for management review.

Lead Qualification and Evaluation

·       Evaluate identified leads to ensure they meet investment criteria such as industry focus, scale, and potential return.

·       Collaborate with the investment and finance teams to validate opportunity fit and readiness for deeper due diligence.

·       Support the preparation of opportunity summaries and pipeline reports for management.

Relationship Management and Networking

·       Build and nurture long-term relationships with investors, entrepreneurs, and key market stakeholders.

·       Represent the company in relevant business, finance, and investment events.

·       Maintain active communication with partners and prospects to ensure engagement and information flow.

Reporting and Data Management

·       Track and analyze lead generation and conversion metrics.

·       Maintain accurate and updated records of investment opportunities, contacts, and communication logs in CRM systems.

·       Prepare regular reports and presentations on investment pipeline performance and lead activity.

Job Specifications

·       

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

·       

2–4 years of experience in investment research, corporate finance, or financial analysis.

·       

Strong analytical and research capabilities with solid business acumen.

·       

Good understanding of financial statements and valuation fundamentals.

·       

Excellent networking, communication, and presentation skills.

·       

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and research tools.

·       

Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.

·       

Ability to go through lots of information and be able to filtrate it based on criteria effectively

·       

Good general knowledge of business and economy

·       

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·       

Proficiency in using CRM software, lead generation tools, and other relevant technologies.
