Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead MEP design development from concept to final construction documents.
  • Review and validate MEP drawings, specifications, and technical submissions.
  • Coordinate between architects, structural engineers, and all MEP disciplines.
  • Prepare and manage MEP project schedules, manpower planning, and workflows.
  • Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.
  • Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with design, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and technical audits.
  • Manage and resolve MEP-related construction issues or design conflicts (RFIs, variations, clashes).
  • Ensure MEP designs follow relevant codes, standards, and local regulations.
  • Evaluate alternative engineering solutions for cost, performance, and sustainability.
  • Review shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and equipment selections.
  • Ensure proper testing, commissioning, and handover documentation.
  • Prepare MEP budgets, cost estimates, and BOQs.
  • Manage procurement of MEP equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
  • Track and control MEP expenditures and change orders.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and authorities.
  • Lead MEP progress meetings, report on milestones, and escalate critical issues.
  • Ensure utility connections and approvals (power, water, HVAC permits, etc.).
  • Enforce safety procedures and ensure onsite compliance with HSE guidelines.
  • Implement sustainable and energy-efficient engineering solutions where applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
  • 7–15+ years
    of experience in MEP engineering and construction.
  • Proven experience managing MEP systems on large-scale projects (commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure).
  • HVAC systems, electrical power distribution, lighting, ELV/ICT systems, plumbing, firefighting, BMS.
  • Strong understanding of international codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, NEC, IPC, IEC, etc.).
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), MS Project/Primavera, and other MEP coordination tools.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced project environments.
