Role Purpose:
The Billing Support Engineer (L2) provides technical support to Technology and Business stakeholders, ensuring the continuous availability, stability, and performance of the billing systems. The role involves proactive and reactive operational management, SLA adherence, issue analysis, and continuous improvement to minimize outages and enhance customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide L2 billing system support while ensuring full compliance with SLAs and internal quality standards.
Coordinate and track proactive and reactive operational activities to maintain high service availability and minimal customer impact.
Monitor and ensure successful completion of billing cycles on scheduled dates and within SLA.
Analize and address repetitive issues and customer complaints by defining and implementing preventive action plans.
Continuously review and optimize monitoring and alerting processes to improve operational efficiency.
Identify manual or repetitive activities and automate them to enhance productivity and reduce human error.
Apply DevOps practices to streamline operations and improve system resilience.
Ensure adherence to Vodafone's Security and Privacy policies at all times.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Basic understanding of Linux/Unix system administration.
Knowledge of databases (SQL) and basic scripting/programming (Python, Java, Perl, or similar).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced, 24x7 operational environment.
