Job Summary:

he Production Manager is fully responsible for overseeing and directing all production and manufacturing operations within the woodworking factory. The core mission is to ensure that production targets, quality standards, and efficiency goals are consistently met within budget and on schedule. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of
10 years of progressive experience
managing production exclusively within the
wood and furniture manufacturing industry
, combined with an academic background in
Interior Design
, to ensure perfect synergy between design requirements and manufacturing capabilities.

Responsibilities

Planning and Scheduling

• Develop and implement detailed production plans and schedules for all wood-based orders and contracts (e.g., bespoke furniture, millwork, cabinetry, doors, etc.).
• Estimate resource requirements (raw materials, manpower, equipment) and ensure timely availability in coordination with Purchasing and Inventory departments.
• Define and continuously monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the production floor.

2. Operations and Quality Management

• Directly supervise the daily workflow across all woodworking production lines.
• Ensure the application of the highest quality control (QC) standards at every stage of manufacturing, from lumber reception to final product finishing.
• Critically review and interpret Interior Design Shop Drawings
  and translate them into accurate production instructions, guaranteeing that the aesthetic and functional vision is achieved.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any technical or operational issues that may hinder workflow efficiency.

3. Team Leadership and Development

• Lead, motivate, and direct the production teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Evaluate employee performance and identify training needs to enhance the skills of workers and technicians in operating modern machinery and carpentry techniques.
• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure strict adherence to Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) procedures.

4. Efficiency and Continuous Improvement

• Continuously work on optimizing and refining production processes to increase efficiency and minimize waste (Lean Manufacturing principles).
• Propose and implement modern and advanced manufacturing techniques in woodworking.
• Oversee the routine maintenance of all machinery and equipment (e.g., CNC machines, edge banders) to ensure readiness and minimize downtime.

5. Reporting and Budget Management

• Monitor production costs and work towards achieving financial goals and reducing operational expenditure.
• Prepare detailed, regular reports on production performance, quality, costs, and schedule adherence for senior management.

Exceptional ability to read, interpret, and implement interior design plans, ensuring manufacturability while preserving the required aesthetic and quality.

Leadership:
Strong leadership, managerial, and team-building skills.

Technical Knowledge:
Proficient knowledge of woodworking processes, machinery (cutting, shaping, assembly, finishing), and familiarity with relevant CAD/CAM software.

Problem-Solving:
High organizational and planning skills, with the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.

  Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with Design, Sales, and Supply Chain departments.
• Requirement Bachelor's
  Degree in
  Interior Design
  or a related field (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Applied Arts).
  Professional Experience Minimum 10 years
  of continuous experience as a Production Manager or similar senior role
  exclusively in wood, furniture, or millwork manufacturing. Industry Specialization Absolute
  expertise in managing the manufacturing processes of wood and derived wood products (MDF, Plywood, Veneer).
