Role Purpose

Responsible for the
design coordination, execution, supervision, testing, and commissioning
of all
Electrical Light Current (ELV) systems
, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, codes, quality standards, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design & Technical Duties

  • Review approved
    design drawings, shop drawings, and specifications
    for light current systems.
  • Coordinate ELV layouts with
    power, architectural, structural, and HVAC
    works.
  • Prepare and review
    technical submittals, BOQs, material approvals, and method statements
    .
  • Ensure system compliance with
    local regulations and international standards
    .

2. Site Execution & Supervision

  • Supervise installation, testing, and integration of:
  • Fire Alarm Systems (Addressable & Conventional)
  • CCTV & Video Surveillance
  • Access Control & Time Attendance
  • Structured Cabling (Data & Voice)
  • Telephone & IP Systems
  • Public Address & Background Music
  • Intercom & Video Door Phone
  • MATV / SMATV
  • Intrusion & Burglar Alarm
  • BMS & Smart Building Interfaces
  • Ensure works are executed as per
    approved drawings and timelines
    .
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other disciplines on site.

3. Testing, Commissioning & Handover

  • Conduct and witness
    testing & commissioning
    activities.
  • Prepare
    as-built drawings, O&M manuals, test reports, and handover files
    .
  • Coordinate inspections with consultants and authorities.
  • Support snagging, de-snagging, and final acceptance.

4. Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Apply
    quality control procedures
    and site inspection checklists.
  • Ensure compliance with
    HSE requirements
    and safe working practices.
  • Identify technical issues and propose corrective solutions.
  • Maintain daily reports and progress tracking.

5. Coordination & Reporting

  • Attend technical and coordination meetings.
  • Provide progress updates, technical clarifications, and execution reports.
  • Assist in
    value engineering
    proposals without affecting system performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in
    Electrical Engineering / Communications / Mechatronics
    .
  • ELV or light current certifications are an advantage.

Experience

  • 3–7 years
    relevant experience in
    real estate or mixed-use developments
    .
  • Experience in
    compounds, malls, offices, or high-rise buildings
    preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of
    ELV / Light Current systems
    .
  • Proficient in
    AutoCAD
    and
    MS Office
    .
  • Familiar with IP-based systems and basic networking concepts.
  • Understanding of international standards (NFPA, IEC, EN).
