Job Summary:

The Stock Controller is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels across all materials and products. This role ensures proper stock control through meticulous monitoring, timely ERP transactions, effective material handling, and compliance with company policies and best practices. The Stock Controller collaborates closely with procurement, warehouse, projects, and sales teams to ensure stock availability, minimize discrepancies, and support efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Inventory Monitoring & Accuracy

  • Perform daily stock checks to ensure ERP stock levels match physical stock.
  • Monitor stock availability and identify shortages, slow-moving items, and critical SKUs.
  • Conduct cycle counts (daily/weekly) and participate in full physical inventory counts.
  • Investigate stock variances and prepare discrepancy reports.

B. Stock Transactions on ERP (Odoo / Other ERP)

  • Ensure timely and accurate posting of receiving, issuing, returning, and transfer transactions.
  • Verify GRNs, delivery notes, and material request fulfillment on the ERP.
  • Maintain clear documentation for all stock movements (manual and system-based).

C. Material Control & Movement

  • Ensure proper labeling, binning, and storage of materials.
  • Track reserved stock for projects, service teams, and sales orders.
  • Prevent unauthorized stock movement and ensure compliance with storage procedures.

D. Reporting

  • Prepare daily stock balance and aging reports.
  • Report discrepancies, damaged items, and stock risks to Warehouse Supervisor/SCM.
  • Share reports with Procurement and Finance to support replenishment and reconciliation.

E. Coordination & Communication

  • Coordinate with procurement for incoming materials and follow up on pending POs.
  • Support internal teams (Projects, PMO, Sales, Service) with accurate stock information.
  • Communicate stock shortages and potential delays immediately.

F. Compliance & Best Practices

  • Ensure stock handling aligns with ISO and company policies.
  • Maintain clean and organized storage areas with proper housekeeping.
  • Follow FIFO/FEFO procedures based on item category.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in stock control or warehouse operations.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems — Odoo preferred.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage fast-moving operations.
