Role: Application Support Engineer


Qesm El Maadi (Hybrid – some work-from-home flexibility)


Full-time

You'll join our dynamic Application Support team
, ensuring the stability and performance of our production systems, driving reliability, and supporting AMAN's mission of financial inclusion.


What You'll Do

  • Serve as
    2nd line support (SRE model)
    for production systems.
  • Deliver
    L2/L3 application support
    with a focus on uptime, performance, and resilience.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues.
  • Coordinate
    planned downtimes
    with minimal business impact.
  • Manage
    vendor escalations
    and oversee system upgrades.
  • Ensure
    SLA/KPI compliance
    and proactive issue prevention.
  • Contribute to
    crisis, outage, and disaster recovery
    procedures.
  • Support
    new system onboarding
    into production environments.
  • Maintain
    quality and security
    standards in all production deliveries.
  • Collaborate across IT, operations, and business teams to drive improvements.


What We're Looking For

  • Egypt residents only
  • Bachelor's degree in
    Computer Science, Engineering , or related field
    .
  • 0–4 years of experience
    (Fintech or Payments background preferred).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in
    Linux/Windows Server
    and databases (
    MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle
    ).
  • Experience with
    Application Servers
    (Tomcat, Apache, IIS) and
    API/Proxy Management
    .
  • Knowledge of
    POS systems
    ,
    Zabbix
    , and
    Nginx
    is a plus.
  • Familiarity with
    DevOps, automation, and monitoring tools
    .
  • Ability to work in a
    24x7 production support
    environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.
  • ITIL Foundation certification
    is a plus.
  • Self-driven, analytical, and results-oriented mindset.
