Job Description:

The role of a Senior Valuation Associate

The Valuation Associate will support the valuation team in conducting financial analysis, building valuation models, preparing valuation reports, and providing analytical insights across various engagements. The role involves working with clients, auditors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality valuation analysis in compliance with relevant standards.

Location: This is a Hybrid role.

Key Responsibilities:


• Perform business, equity, and asset valuations for financial reporting, transaction advisory, strategic planning, and regulatory purposes.


• Carry out financial analysis, including historical performance review, ratio analysis, cash flow analysis, and industry benchmarking.


• Develop and maintain valuation models including:

  • Discounted Cash Flow (DCF)

  • Market approach (Public comparable, Precedent transactions)

  • Asset-based approaches


• Assist in preparing valuation reports, memos, presentations, and supporting documentation.


• Conduct industry and market research to support valuation assumptions.


• Support due-diligence activities and data verification.


• Collaborate with clients to obtain required information and clarify assumptions.


• Participate in engagements involving purchase price allocation (PPA) and impairment testing.


• Ensure compliance with valuation standards (IVS, IFRS, etc.).


• Maintain internal documentation and work papers following firm policies.

Requirements:


• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or any related field.


• Professional certification such as CFA, CVA, ABV and FMVA.


• 3–8 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the investment or financial services industry.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and interpret trends in financial data.


• Excellent financial modelling and valuation skills using tools like Excel and specialized financial software.


• Proficient in financial accounting principles and standards, including IFRS.


• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear and concise language.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
