Job Summary:

The Planning Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing production plans to meet customer demand while optimizing inventory levels and production efficiency. They will work closely with various departments to ensure seamless operations and timely delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accurate production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to gather accurate data on customer orders and inventory requirements.
  • Monitor raw material and finished goods inventory levels to ensure adequate supply without excess.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to manage inventory and facilitate timely replenishment of materials.
  • Analyze production data and trends to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity.
  • Work closely with production managers, supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth production flow and address any potential bottlenecks.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to share updates on production schedules and capacity.
  • Identify opportunities for optimizing production processes and reducing waste.
  • Address any issues related to production schedules or inventory, providing solutions that align with company goals and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to management on production planning, performance metrics, and any challenges faced.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years experience in production planning or a related role, in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
