GRC Junior Analyst

Position Summary:

Job purpose:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented GRC Analyst to join our Information Security team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on experience navigating the complex landscape of security frameworks and regulatory compliance. This role is crucial for ensuring our digital payments platform adheres to all internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory mandates, with a specific focus on PCI DSS and Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) regulations. You will play a vital role in our security posture by managing risk, conducting internal audits, and driving a culture of compliance across the organization.

Key accountabilities :

Compliance and Regulatory Management:

  • Serve as a key resource for interpreting and implementing security controls required by PCI DSS and Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) directives.
  • Maintain and update our compliance documentation, including policies, procedures, and evidence of controls.
  • Assist with preparing for and responding to all internal and external security audits, including those from Qualified Security Assessors (QSAs) and regulatory bodies.

Risk Management:

  • Lead the process of identifying, assessing, and prioritizing information security risks across the company.
  • Maintain the company's risk register, track remediation plans, and report on the status of risk mitigation to management.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments for new projects, technologies, and third-party vendors.

Policy and Control Management:

  • Develop, review, and update information security policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure they remain current and aligned with business objectives.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of security controls and recommend improvements to enhance our overall security posture.

Security Awareness and Training:

  • Assist in developing and delivering security awareness programs and training materials for all employees to promote a culture of security and compliance.

Reporting and Communication:

  • Prepare clear and concise reports on GRC metrics, audit findings, and risk status for both technical teams and executive leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Legal, HR, etc.) to ensure a coordinated approach to GRC activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience:
     Minimum 2-3 years of GRC experience, preferably within the fintech, banking, or digital payments sector.
  • Compliance Frameworks:
     In-depth, practical knowledge of PCI DSS.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
     Experience working with regulatory bodies, particularly a deep understanding of the security requirements from the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE)
  • Vendor Risk Management:
     Proven experience in conducting security assessments and due diligence on third-party vendors.
  • Strong understanding of information security principles, technologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex GRC issues to a diverse audience.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), OCEG Suite, CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control), or PCIP (PCI Professional) are highly desirable.
