Procurement Manager

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic
Procurement Manager
to lead our
Direct Materials
purchasing function. This role is absolutely critical to the efficiency and profitability of our operations, focusing heavily on
strategic sourcing, high-stakes negotiation
, and supplier relationship management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in direct procurement, exceptional negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of
supply chain risk management
within the demanding automotive sector.

Key Responsibilities

1- Strategic Sourcing & Category Management (Automotive Focus)

• Develop and execute comprehensive
  category sourcing strategies
  for key
  direct materials
  and components critical to
  OEM
  and
  Aftermarket
  product lines.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new domestic and international
  automotive suppliers
  to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
• Conduct in-depth market analysis, understand global
  commodity trends
  (steel, plastics, etc.), and leverage this knowledge to drive cost-effective procurement decisions.
• Manage the end-to-end Request for Proposal (RFP) and quotation process, ensuring adherence to strict automotive quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949 requirements).

2- Supplier Relationship & Performance Management

• Negotiate favorable pricing, contract terms, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and long-term supply agreements that protect Your Parts' competitive position in the
  spare parts market
  .
• Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with critical strategic suppliers across both
  OEM
  and
  Aftermarket
  segments.
• Monitor and manage supplier performance against key metrics (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Innovation - QCDI) and implement continuous improvement plans.
• Lead quarterly or annual business reviews with key strategic suppliers to align future sourcing strategy.

3- Operational Purchasing & Risk Mitigation

• Oversee the daily procurement operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of purchase orders for all
  direct materials
  .
• Collaborate closely with
  Operations
  and
  Inventory Planning
  teams to accurately forecast demand for both
  new production (OEM)
  and
  service parts (Aftermarket)
  , ensuring material availability to meet strict production schedules.
• Manage and mitigate
  automotive supply chain risks
  , including geopolitical factors, commodity price volatility, and single-source dependencies, ensuring business continuity.
• Drive aggressive
  cost-saving initiatives
  and track Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) improvements across the entire supply base.

4- Process & Compliance

• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards, particularly those relevant to the
  automotive industry
  .
• Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, systems (e.g.,
  ERP
  ), and reporting capabilities for enhanced efficiency and transparency.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum
  5 years
  of progressive experience in
  Direct Procurement
  or Strategic Sourcing, specifically within the
  Automotive industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in
  contract negotiation
  and managing complex, high-value supplier relationships.
• Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale sourcing projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical skills, proficient in using
  procurement systems (ERP, e-sourcing tools)
  and Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Skills:

• Professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CPIM, CIPS).
• Experience in
  global sourcing
  and managing international supply chains (Asia/Europe experience is a plus).
• Experience with
  OEM parts lifecycle management
  and
  Aftermarket component purchasing
  .
• Experience
  leading and mentoring a team
  .
