Senior AI Engineer

Position Overview:

EDECS Group is seeking a
Senior AI Engineer
to design, train, and deploy advanced large language models (LLMs) and AI solutions. In this role, you will architect high-performance AI systems, guide technical teams, and drive innovation in our AI-driven product offerings. Responsibilities:

• Architect:
  Design and implement cutting-edge LLM architectures and scalable AI systems, ensuring robust performance in production environments.
• Advanced Model Training:
  Oversee the training, fine-tuning, and optimization of large language models, leveraging state-of-the-art techniques and best practices.
• Innovation & Research:
  Lead research initiatives to explore new AI methodologies, algorithms, and advanced LLM techniques (e.g., Retrieval-Augmented Generation) that drive competitive advantage.
• Cross-functional Collaboration:
  Work closely with data scientists, product managers, and software engineers to integrate AI solutions that meet business objectives and solve complex challenges.
• Performance Optimization:
  Develop strategies for model scalability, deployment efficiency, and operational reliability, including the integration of distributed computing and cloud-based services.
• Data Strategy:
  Collaborate with teams to curate and preprocess large, diverse datasets essential for training robust models.
• Deployment & Maintenance:
  Oversee the seamless deployment, monitoring, and iterative improvement of AI systems in live production environments.
• Documentation & Best Practices:
  Establish and maintain rigorous documentation, coding standards, and protocols to ensure reproducibility and maintainability of AI projects.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education:
  Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Experience:
  5+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering with significant expertise in training, fine-tuning, and deploying LLMs.
• Technical Expertise:
• In-depth knowledge of LLM architectures and large-scale model training.
• Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and the Hugging Face ecosystem.
• Experience with advanced techniques such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and working with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS).
• Cloud & Distributed Systems:
  Strong background in deploying AI solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and utilizing distributed computing for scalable model training and inference.
• Problem Solving:
  Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to overcoming technical challenges.
• Communication:
  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.
