Key Responsibilities


• Design and own the overall solution architecture for assigned products, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical feasibility.
• Define and enforce architecture standards, patterns, and reusable components across squads to ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Partner with Product Owners to shape the product roadmap, identifying technical opportunities and managing architectural dependencies.
• Collaborate with Delivery Leads and Engineering Leads to align delivery timelines with architecture evolution and technology modernization goals.
• Guide teams on modern software engineering practices including CI/CD, test automation, DevSecOps, and containerized deployments (Kubernetes/OpenShift).
• Actively engage in coding, prototyping, and reviewing solutions to ensure architectural compliance and quality.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools to keep the platform ecosystem ahead of market trends.
• Identify and resolve technical impediments, ensuring smooth sprint execution and timely delivery of features.
• Champion security, compliance, and performance optimization through architectural reviews and adherence to enterprise standards.
• Mentor engineers and architects, fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and technical excellence

Qualifications


• Bachelor or master's degree in CS, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software development and architecture, ideally within banking, fintech, or enterprise-scale digital environments.
• Proven experience designing and delivering microservices-based, API-first, and cloud-native applications.
• Strong exposure to Agile delivery models with a history of collaboration across multiple squads.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, and automated testing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead architecture design sessions, make trade-off decisions, and communicate complex solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Fluency in Arabic and English

Skills and Expertise


• Deep knowledge in Java/JVM, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Angular and in general, cloud-native stack
• Experienced in agile environments as a Solution Architect, contributing to sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and definition of done
• Skilled in facilitating technical discussions, trade-off analysis, and architectural decision records (ADRs)
• Solid experience in API-first design, Microservices, and Cloud Platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, or OpenShift).
• Strong understanding of security by design, OAuth2/OpenID Connect, encryption standards, and DevSecOps pipelines.
• Proficient in CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Service Mesh (Istio/Cilium), and Monitoring/Logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Experience with event-driven architecture, Kafka, AMQ, and distributed system design.
• Experience with architecture documentation (C4 Model, UML, ADRs) and technical governance frameworks.
• Collaborative mindset, fostering transparency, shared ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Results-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
