Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Accountant, based in Cairo, Egypt. The Senior Accountant will manage daily accounting operations, oversee financial statements, reconcile accounts, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. Responsibilities include preparing budgets, analyzing financial data, tracking expenses, and collaborating with the finance team for timely reporting. This role also involves liaising with external auditors and ensuring accurate tax filings and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily treasury operations, including monitoring cash flow and processing

bank transactions.

  • Prepare and maintain cash flow statements to monitor and manage company

liquidity

  • Review and reconcile bank statements.
  • Manage all banking operations through branches or online platforms (if available),

including issuing and withdrawing checks as needed.

  • Review and approve journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and accuracy.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and statements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of company obligations.
  • Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
  • Review all Shopify operations, ensuring accurate recording of all sales transactions.
  • Ensure continuous communication with suppliers and customers and establish

clear payment and collection plans for management.

  • Conduct quarterly audits of company assets and inventory, including their

evaluation.

  • Conduct inventory audits of raw materials at branches to ensure accurate stock

levels.

  • Conduct branch audits to verify sales transactions against the cash on hand.
  • Prepare accurate and compliant tax documents in accordance with relevant

regulations.

  • Coordinate asset purchases, sales, and financing transactions, while monitoring

contract compliance and insurance coverage.

  • Prepare the company budget and generate a monthly Budget vs. Actual.
  • Engage with clients, financial institutions, and vendors daily, maintaining

professional relationships.

  • Support ongoing enhancements to financial systems, including Record to Report,
  • Order to Cash, and Procurement to Pay tools.
