Tax Supervisor

Responsibilities
- Supervise the preparation and timely filing of all required tax returns, including income, sales, and property taxes. Ensure all tax filings are accurate and in compliance with current regulations.
- Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to optimize the company's tax position and identify opportunities for tax savings.
- Act as the primary point of contact for tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities. Prepare and submit all necessary documentation and responses to successfully resolve audits.
- Supervise, train, and mentor junior tax accountants and staff, providing technical guidance and fostering a high-performance team environment.
- Conduct thorough tax research and analysis on complex tax issues, staying up-to-date with changes in tax legislation to advise management on their implications.
- Collaborate with the finance and accounting teams to analyze financial data for tax implications, ensuring tax provisions are accurately reflected in financial reports.
- Identify and mitigate potential tax risks, implementing robust internal controls and processes to ensure the integrity of all tax-related operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- +5 years of progressive experience in corporate tax, public accounting, or a related field.
- CPA certification is highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with tax preparation software and financial management systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
