Job Purpose:

The
Bank Accountant
is responsible for managing and reconciling all bank transactions of Halfa Solutions, ensuring the accuracy of financial data, monitoring cash flow, and maintaining strong relationships with banks. The role plays a key part in daily financial operations, supporting payment processing, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record and reconcile daily bank transactions across all company accounts.
  • Prepare and review bank reconciliations on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Monitor and report cash balances and ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
  • Process incoming and outgoing transfers, bank payments, and deposits accurately.
  • Follow up on outstanding checks, transfers, and unposted transactions.
  • Communicate with banks to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing by providing accurate bank-related reports.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure all bank transactions are properly authorized and supported.
  • Assist in preparing cash flow forecasts and treasury reports.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company financial policies.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing bank records and reconciliations.
  • Coordinate with the accounts payable and receivable teams to align cash movement records.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience as a Bank Accountant or in a similar accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation and cash management processes.
  • Proficiency in ERP or accounting software (preferably
    SAP Business One
    ).
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good command of English (written and spoken).
