**This position is for Egyptian nationals and Egyptian residency holders only.**

**BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT**:
The escalation of the conflict which occurred on 07 October in Gaza, resulted in the disruption of electricity, food, water, and fuel supplies, as well as restricted access to and movement within Gaza. This has caused a significant worsening of the humanitarian crisis and a large-scale displacement of the population within Gaza. Due to the magnitude of the humanitarian crisis, the significant impact on the Supply Chain and the access challenges to and inside Gaza, humanitarian organizations face significant logistics challenges for the delivery of relief supplies and life-saving cargo. WFP has established Supply Chain corridors and delivery mechanisms to deliver food assistance into Gaza, including Egypt corridor. WFP is establishing required staffing structure to best support the operational needs and to deliver assistance into Gaza through all possible means.

To implement well-defined standard logistics/supply chain processes and activities to enable effective delivery of goods and services for all delivery modalities and to further support contracting modalities for Egypt.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive)**:

- Cross-checking the received invoices/supporting document hard copies and compare it with the excel file sent to ensure that the documents received are accurate and are against contracts.
- Handling daily vendors communication and inquiries referring to invoicing.
- Share the open deliveries with commodity accounting on regular basis and request them to follow up with concerned staff members for completion.
- Create new pre-requisition, purchase orders, service entry sheets, and goods receipt notes.
- Prepare a cash forecast for finance monthly.
- Check validity of open GR (if they are still valid or not),
- Share the list of open POs exceeding 90 days with concerned spending units.
- Process invoices by preforming invoice match for all invoices in relation to Gaza Response in Egypt and generate weekly reports.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure that invoices are being submitted during the requested period and processed.
- Manage the offline tracker that records all invoices, aligned SES, and current step.
- Manage and organize the archiving of all invoices.
- Manage the request to coordinate with vendors to collect the necessary paperwork for vendor amendment and or registration.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:
**Education & experience**:

- A bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of funds management and or finance, warehousing, transportation modules, and Business Management or other related field, additional years of related work experience and/or training/courses.
- 5 years of experience working in logistics, preferably humanitarian logistics.

**Languages**:

- Fluency (Level C) in oral and written communication in English and in Arabic.

No appointment under any kind of contract will be offered to members of the UN Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions (ACABQ), International Civil Service Commission (ICSC), FAO Finance Committee, WFP External Auditor, WFP Audit Committee, Joint Inspection Unit (JIU) and other similar bodies within the United Nations system with oversight responsibilities over WFP, both during their service and within three years of ceasing that service.


WFP will not request payment at any stage of the recruitment process including at the offer stage. Any payment requests should be refused and reported to local law enforcement authorities for appropriate action.
