Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference, and here’s how the Logistics Section Head role will make an impact in providing End-to-End logistics management of outbound to all customers from Viatris Egypt DC / LSP with alignment to company & governmental policies and procedures. Ensure goods quality during the logistics routes and transportation to meet planned cost and assists with Market Transformation initiatives.
Key responsibilities for this role include:

- Other internal & External stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities
- Daily Planning for delivery routes and trips and organizing the work of direct reports.
- Confirm the invoice’s validity and delivery of the shipment to customers without errors.
- Supervise and manage the activities of Drivers and Assistant drivers in the department.
- Follow-up drivers and assistant Drivers to confirm shipment delivery to a specific destination in a timely manner and make sure that the client had received the shipment and signed and stamped the invoices to comply with Viatris policy and procedure.
- Reporting and monitoring of KPIs and performance SLAs and trainers related to logistics performance KPIs.
- Identify and solve logistics performance-related problems and provide all data needed for performance improvement.
- Provide weekly updates on projects & performance progress.
- Follow-up of ongoing Invoices, extraction, pick and pack processes, loading, and delivery by drivers as per customer requirements.
- Training and directing his direct reports periodically.
- Signing of the trip sheets for each driver and Ass. Driver.
- Ensure efficiency and proper replenishment by delivering all the invoices to trade vs. initial sales orders.
- Follow-up inventory of trucks and shipments delivery for validation of quantities delivered and received.
- Supervise the delivery of invoices and returns to/from customers and improve the customer service level.
- Review and sign the returns of undelivered shipments and make sure to meet all PQSs and SOP for accepting the returns.
- Follow-up required reports for drivers and assistant Drivers daily and sign them.
- Enhance trucks efficiency and utilization
- Follow-up truck maintenance and license renewal with the fleet Department.
- Monitor fleet routes using the GPS system and take the necessary action as needed.
- Generate effective periodic maintenance plans to extend the fleet preventive maintenance, with a good understanding of the “break-even” point of maintenance reducing to a minimum.
- Ensure consistent compliance with required regulations, policies, and procedures, and Viatris standards this includes all applicable local, US, regional, or international law.
- Implementing health and safety procedures for the distribution team.
- During the Transport Section Head Absence Transport Coordinator will be a delegate on her behalf.
- Provide tracking system reports weekly, monthly, and Year to date to monitor distribution KPIs and cost efficiency per route and vehicles.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with the GSC team and Sales Team to set shipment delivery priority.
- Coordinate with the local finance team to facilitate the physical count and issue sales return approval.
- Coordinate with the QA team to update the SOPs, Truck Validation, and Thermal mapping and monitor the temperature control trucks during transportation.
- Coordinate with our distributors to get shipment delivery appointments.
OPEX & KPI
- Monitor Transportation and Delivery performance.
- Accountable for GSC Market Deliver and Enable capabilities.
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
- University graduate, Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the same field.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Problem-solving and high interpersonal and communication skills.
- High management and mentoring skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
- High level of accuracy.
- Computer skills, very good knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint is a must.
- The ability to meet reporting deadlines and handle multiple tasks at once.
- High degree of self-motivation and ability to work with limited supervision.
