**The Role**

At Global Wind Service, we are currently ramping up our expanding **Statutory Inspection** Team** within our **Service & Maintenance Division.**

As a travelling Statutory Inspection Technician, you will work Worldwide alongside a team of well-trained professionals to inspect, maintain and repair lifting equipment within the turbine.

**Become a part of our Statutory Inspection Team**

In this position, you will be part of the team of our inspection technicians working on pre assembly and offshore, carrying out statutory inspections and maintenance of service lifts, cranes and turbine mounted safety equipment contained within wind turbines globally.

**Responsibilities**
- To always remain impartial and independent in accordance with BS EN ISO 17020
- Thorough examination, testing and certification of all types and classes of lifting equipment, health and safety equipment and fall arrest equipment
- Ensure all inspection reporting has the correct data and has been filled in correctly
- Ensure all calibrated tooling has an in date certificate and all serial numbers are recorded on all necessary reporting
- Ensure tablets are synchronized as soon as the device has a signal or Wi-Fi connection
- Ensure all safety documentation, procedures and work instruction have been read and understood before work commences
- Assist the Project Manager with co-ordination of inspection schedule with clients.
- Implement actions according to relevant policies and procedures.
- Ensure customer satisfaction whilst looking after the companies best interests.
- Compile and produce comprehensive examination reports.
- Input data when required into the inspection services on line data base.
- Always deliver activities in a safe manner, in line with GWS work packs (RAMS).
- Attend Client Facilities when necessary.
- Assist Supervisors, team lead and other team members.
- Promote and encourage hazard observation reporting.
- Ensure the continuous skill and performance.
- Ensure all documentation has been filled in correctly.

**Your profile**
- Previous relevant experience in the inspection of Service lifts, Davit and Compact Cranes, manuel lifting machines, general lifting equipment and PUWER equipment.
- Apprenticeship trained or equivalent
- Lifting examiner background
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background
- Crane examiner and maintainer
- Familiarity of wind turbines manufactured by**:Nordex, Vestas, General Electrics, Siemens Gamesa** or other wind world recognized OEM
- Valid GWO BST and BTT trainings
- English skills at least at communication level (both spoken and written)
- You are cooperative, communicative, open-minded and flexible - with respect for others and other cultures
- Confidence to work at height and general good health conditions - both proven by valid OEUK Medical Fitness certificate
- Capable of working at remote sites in adverse weather conditions
- Ability and willingness to travel and work in flexible rotations for example 6x2 (weeks) domestically and internationally as required
- High emphasis on Quality and Safety

- Clean drivers’ license and UK or EU Passport

- OEM Training or equivalent on service lifts
- Trained in Davit Crane Inspection/Maintenance
- Trained in Compact Crane Inspection/Maintenance
- Trained in Turbine Mounted Safety Equipment
- Trained in Fire Extinguisher Servicing
- LEEA Wire Rope Examiner
- Pressure System Regulations Awareness Training
