**Role purpose**:

- To support Health, Safety and Wellbeing culture across the organization and partners and to ensure VF employees and business partners are provided with an admired workplace and a safe working environment achieving zero fatality and property loss.
- To review, evaluate, and analyse work environments and design programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury caused by chemical, physical, and biological agents or ergonomic factors. May conduct inspections and enforce adherence to laws and regulations governing the health and safety of individuals.

**Key accountabilities and decision ownership**:

- Conducting thorough assessments of the workplace to identify potential health risks. This involves examining physical hazards, chemical exposures, ergonomic issues, and other factors that could adversely affect employees' health.
- Monitoring the health of employees exposed to specific workplace hazards, such as conducting medical examinations, health screenings and monitoring, to identify any adverse health effects early on.
- Develop or maintain hygiene programs, such as noise surveys, continuous atmosphere monitoring, and ventilation surveys.
- Providing education and training sessions for employees on workplace health and wellbeing practices. This may involve instructing employees on proper equipment usage, lifting techniques, emergency procedures, and other relevant topics.
- Evaluating workstations and job tasks to optimize ergonomics and reduce the risk of musculoskeletal disorders. They may recommend ergonomic adjustments or equipment to improve employee comfort and productivity.
- Investigating workplace accidents and incidents to determine the root causes and prevent future occurrences. They also ensure that appropriate reporting procedures are followed as required by regulations.
- Implementing wellness programs and initiatives to promote overall employee health and well-being. This could include activities such as smoking cessation programs, fitness challenges, or mental health support.
- Collecting and analysing data related to occupational health and safety incidents, employee health trends, and program effectiveness. This information helps in identifying areas for improvement and making data-driven decisions.

**Core competencies, knowledge and experience**:

- Occupational Health and wellbeing Management skills
- Strong knowledge of local and international health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and educate employees at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address health and safety issues effectively.

**Must have technical / professional qualifications**:

- Occupational Health certification
- Minimum five years’ experience in related industry/function
