**Job Description** Main Duties**:

- Monitor event activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, satisfaction of participants, and resolution of any problems that arise.
- Confer with staff at a chosen event site to coordinate details.
- Inspect event facilities to ensure that they conform to customer requirements.
- Coordinate services for events, such as accommodation and transportation for participants, facilities, catering, signage, displays, special needs requirements, printing and event security.
- Consult with customers to determine objectives and requirements for events such as meetings, conferences, and conventions.
- Meet with sponsors and organizing committees to plan the scope and format of events, establish and monitor budgets, or review administrative procedures and event progress.
- Review event bills for accuracy, and approve payment.
- Evaluate and select providers of services according to customer requirements.
- Arrange the availability of audio-visual equipment, transportation, displays, and other event needs.
- Plan and develop programs, agendas, budgets, and services according to customer requirements.
- To assist in the building of an efficient team of employees by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety and development. To encourage them to maintain good relationships with their colleagues and all other departments.
- To ensure that all employees report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform/attire and nametag at all times. And to ensure they maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and adhere to the hotel and department appearance standards. To control absenteeism.
- To ensure that all employees provide a friendly, courteous and professional service at all times.
- To assist in the training of employees ensuring that they have the necessary skills to perform their duties with the maximum efficiency and in the most productive manner.
- To supervise the employees within the department, ensuring that the correct standards and methods of service are maintained as stated in the Hotel and Department Operations Manual.
- To ensure that the Department's operational budget is strictly adhered to and that all costs are controlled and expenditures approved.

- Proven experience in the same role or a similar leadership role, with a minimum of 5 years in a hospitality environment.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic sales and marketing plans that have resulted in revenue growth and increased market share.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve targets and exceed expectations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and negotiate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Eye for detail, for the product, the guests, and your team.
- Helicopter view, commercial attitude, and always thinking one step ahead.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and adapt strategies.
- Good user knowledge of reservation and CRM systems.
- Pro-active approach and commercially focused.
- The drive to work in a 5* service environment.
