**SCOPE AND OBJECTIVE**:
GroupM consists of a number of agencies including Mindshare, MediaCom and Wavemake. GroupM experiences significant growth, both organically and through acquisitions, and is a fast paced and complex business - amplified by the volume of entities (circa 350 across GroupM EMEA).

**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Overall management and mentoring of the local finance team of varying levels/qualifications and functions.
- Manage the MENA region’s monthly consolidated reporting, quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting process, and year end completions for GroupM.
- Review and coordinate executive level summary of performance and key issues for monthly, forecast and budget results.
- Review team deliverables prior to submitting market results to regional head office:

- Review of analysis prepared by the finance team with the assistance of the Senior Finance Managers/Finance Manager.
- Review and interrogation of country results for accuracy before reporting to global GroupM head office.
- Provide accurate guidance on reporting issues to both local teams and the regional team.
- Ensure compliance with WPP and GroupM Global reporting policies, formulating/updating and implementing GroupM MENA/EMEA and Global policies where appropriate.
- Drive reporting process improvement within the regional finance team and local teams.
- Ensure integrity of the MENA/EMEA balance sheet in all areas.
- Oversee Sarbanes Oxley compliance for the regional accounting team centre, including balance sheet reviews, reconciliations to local accounts and other tasks as required.
- Prime contact, oversight and planner for regional external audits.
- Numerous adhoc projects as and when required.
- Keep the Local FD updated on all matters of significance - key aspect ‘no surprises’.
**EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS**:

- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) 3 or more years PQE.
- Experience in industry a must. Familiarity within the media industry a distinct advantage, but not essential.
- Ability to identify and solve IFRS and management accounting issues.
- Strong analytical and Excel skills.
- Experience in managing staff.
- Experience with consolidation software (e.g. SAP BFC or Hyperion HFM).
- Ability to command respect and provide leadership to all levels of an organisation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Foreign languages are an advantage although not essential.
- An outgoing, tenacious (non-aggressive) personality.

**The successful applicant will have a hands-on pro-active approach, with the ability to manage a large team and get the job done with mínimal supervision.
